Nanyang kopi starts in the wok. The beans are roasted dark and glossy before they are ground.

Ground kopi is brewed strong in the pot, then poured out cup after cup.

Tarik
Poured from a height between jugs, the kopi cools, blends with the milk and turns frothy.
